Rootwork Support for ONE STRIKE
As a transplanted initiative under Rootwork, ONE STRIKE will receive holistic support including:
Fiscal sponsorship to secure funding.
Operational stability through administrative and communications support.
Youth deployment via THRIVE ON!’s Early Thrivers, who will contribute to planning and program delivery.
Visibility and amplification through THRIVE ON!’s network of community partners.
“ONE STRIKE represents the heart of grassroots action,” said Keyvious Avery, President of THRIVE ON!. “Their pop-up approach makes youth and family programs available where people already are. Rootwork will give them the backing to grow these sparks into something sustainable.”
Pop-Ups as Pathways
ONE STRIKE’s model centers on short-term, high-impact programming—pop-up events that meet immediate community needs while building longer-term relationships. These may include family activities, youth engagement workshops, resource fairs, or cultural events that celebrate community resilience.
By joining Rootwork, ONE STRIKE gains the resources to turn these one-time programs into ongoing opportunities, creating a stronger foundation for families and youth across Kingston.
