Get Involved: For Community Leaders
You’re Already Doing the Work. Let’s Strengthen It.
THRIVE ON! works alongside community leaders who are already building, organizing, creating, and caring — often without the infrastructure or long-term support needed to sustain that work.
We don’t “empower” leaders.
We start from the belief that leadership already exists — and our role is to remove barriers, share infrastructure, and walk alongside you as your work grows.

How Community Leaders Get Involved
Most community leaders engage with THRIVE ON! through Rootwork, our incubation and infrastructure platform for grassroots projects.
Support is shaped collaboratively and may include:
-
Fiscal sponsorship and administrative infrastructure
-
Project incubation and strategic accompaniment
-
Shared systems that reduce operational burden
-
Support navigating partnerships, funding, or growth
-
Space for reflection, learning, and adaptation
This is not about rushing scale or forcing formality.
It’s about durability, integrity, and care.
What Makes This Different
At THRIVE ON!:
-
Your project remains yours
-
You retain authorship, ownership, and direction
-
We don’t extract ideas or rebrand your work
-
We don’t require you to fit a rigid nonprofit mold
-
We value lived experience alongside formal credentials

We prioritize alignment over control and relationship over transaction.

Who This Is For
This page is for community leaders who:
-
Are building or stewarding a community-rooted project
-
Are organizing around equity, care, culture, food, or local economy
-
Are early-stage, informal, or unincorporated
-
Are navigating growth, sustainability, or transition
-
Want support without losing autonomy
You do not need a polished proposal.
You do not need to be “ready.”
You just need to be honest about where you are.
Get Started
We don’t begin with applications or pitch decks.
We begin with conversation.
Use the form below to tell us:
-
What you’re building or exploring
-
Where you feel stuck or stretched
-
What kind of support would be helpful
-
What questions you’re holding
What Happens Next
After you submit:
-
We review alignment and capacity
-
We follow up to explore fit
-
We discuss possible pathways through Rootwork or other programs
Not every project enters immediately — and that’s okay.
We care more about right fit than fast intake.
You don’t need permission to build what your community needs.
You deserve support that respects your leadership and your vision.
We’re here to walk with you as you THRIVE ON!
